  1. They laid this (their second time) in the last 24-48 hours. What should be my next move? The piece can be removed easily, should I grab a currently used sponge filter and place it in a new 20 long?
  2. Yeah this is their first one and I’ve been raising them since they were small
  3. Ok this just happened today... What’s next??? Tank is a 90 gallon with 2 Angels 20 Black Neon Tetras 15 X-ray Tetras 14 Cherry Barbs 10 Peppered Cory’s 2 BN Pelcos - who are also having spawns ( 10 pelco fry currently) Will the Angels eat their eggs? They look to be protecting them right now.
  4. Tried to introduced 10 of 30 Cherry Barbs to my established 90 gallon community tank with 2 large angelfish, 20 black neons, 15 X-ray tetras, 10 peppered Cory Cats, and several BN plecos... My thought was with 10 they would school together and hold their own. What really happened was there weren’t enough of them and they scattered as soon as they hit the tank... I can only assume since I feed a lot of red food (Xterme Krill and Hikari Vibra Bites) and their size the Angels started going after them one at a time and even the larger tetras did as well... The lesson is to only introduce bigger community fish and in larger schools as the Angels and the Tank are so big...
  5. Yeah black and white fish are on purpose, silver tip tetras are hard to find in my area but I agree that would be another good schooling fish to add
  6. What do you think 4 max? I worry about long term aggression with each other.
  7. I have a 90 gallon with tons of filtration (2 AC 110 and 2 XL sponge filters) stocking 20 black neons 10 peppered Cory cats 2 LG Angelfish 2 BN pelcos (breeding pair) what would you add?? Open to all ideas
  8. Yeah I see that, I wonder if it’s better on the fish as I have the light on a timer at 3pm to 11pm but maybe at 9pm switch to blue
  9. Here is a question for the pros... what is the purpose of the blue only light on my led lights for my tanks? They all have them but not sure when or why to use them... planted 90 gallon community tank with 4 black mollies, 20 black neon tetras, 2 black angels, 10 peppered cory’s, 2 black spotted bristlenose plecos + fry... should I ever use the blue light or no?
  10. Will be out of town for 6 days. I have a 30 gallon community tank with about 18 fish (neons, guppies, pelcos, etc..) I don’t want to use a feeder block, what do y’all think a great automatic feeder option is? Thoughts on the Ani Mate Fish Feeder?
  11. Does a usb air pump have enough power to work the xl sponge filter? Plan on using 2 xl in my 90 gallon but should I use the USB pumps or should I just buy one larger air pump for both?
  12. True that the only thing I worry about with two 110’s is that it might create to much current in the tank
  13. Maybe the aquaclears in the 2/5 and 4/5 of the tank and sponge filter in the corner... should I get one or two?
  14. Yeah I can’t decide if I put the aquaclears on each end and a sponge filter in the middle... in this case it would be the 50’s. If I go with the 110 then I’ll put it in the middle and have 2 sponge filters on the ends. The price is the same for one 110 or 2 50’s
  15. Getting ready to set up a brand new 90 gallon community tank... lots of smaller fish and plants. Should I go with 2 aquaclear 50’s or one 110? Also plan on at least one sponge filter... maybe 2. Thoughts?
