  1. I would just move them. Neon tetras are known for nipping betta's fins. If you want another tank mate for him, consider endlers. I have seven of them in my betta tank and they school together, but don't bother my betta. They even clean the algae off my tank decor which surprised me to learn. A pleasant surprise though.
  2. @TerenceWw Well, I've never used CO2 before! I only use easy green and it seems to work pretty well. As far as adding fertilizer, I usually add 2 drops per gallon, two times a week.
  3. @TerenceWw Most of your plants should spring back. They don't look too far gone just yet.
  4. Have you tried putting easy green in your tank? That stuff has changed my plant game. I used to have mine die as well.
  5. I haven't been able to create a scape as beautiful as this one, but here is mine so far 🙂
  6. @Nik_n That's an excellent idea! I'll be sure to refer that video to them.
  7. In your opinion, what are some of the best tank mates for a Betta tank? I'm asking for a friend, because I already have endlers.
  8. @TheSwissAquarist I'll be sure to remember that...I seem to remember my grandfather telling me about a raw cob of corn soaked in a bucket of water.
  9. @TheSwissAquarist This made me laugh 😂 Sadly, there aren't snowballs in Florida. I guess I'll have to settle for sand and shells.
  10. My favorite thing about the hobby is getting to see a little betta in a small cup become happier, brighter, and more colorful within just a few months. I love watching his personality unfurl and see his greetings each time I approach the tank. I love the sound of the water and the calm it brings when I do some maintenance. There's really nothing to dislike right now!
  11. This is most likely columnaris. Deadly unless you can treat him in time! Get him into a quarantine tank with salt and other chemicals to treat infections!
  12. Personally, I don't think you need the wondershell. My aquarium water has been soft and I don't add anything extra to it. If your tank is doing just fine I wouldn't mess with it! I would recommend a nerite snail. I've had those for the past two years and the are my favorite snail! Super hardy and clean the tank really well.
