Thanks for the advise. I really like this plant with bettas. Especially with male bettas, the bubble nests are so cool to see when they feel like making one I have two tiger lilies taking off in my 10 gallon but I wanted to keep my established 5 gallon for another betta or maybe a dwarf gourami.

Hey everyone, I have some experience with bulbed plants. It's been about three weeks. No sprouting. I let it sit on top of my substrate. I turned it after a week. What did I do wrong? I followed the directions, but how do I know if it really is a dud bulb? Should I keep trying? Should I clean the fluff off? As of today I took it out of my tank and it's in some water from the tank. It does smell, but it wasn't squishy.

Thanks! I had her for a couple months. When I got her she was a tiny thing. She was even labeled as a male Betta when I purchased her. After she grew I noticed that maybe it's a girl which is fine because she's my favorite colors and her temperament is docile.

I'm in the same boat. I have some Danios quarantining right now. They look good so far with out any treatments yet. I'm still early in the process so I'm definitely interested to see what everyone else suggests.

I came back to the hobby after an unsuccessful and over zealous fish keeping stent. At the time I though it was going to be easy. Not so true, but I love the science behind all of it and I'm here to try again.
