1 mm, round, white, difficult to scrape off makes me suspicious of nerite snail eggs.

My wife bought a couple of baby chicks from TSC this Spring and did a great job growing them up to nearly full sized hens. The HOA came down on us and we had to relocate them to some friends place in the country. We will miss them but at least they are now a member of a larger flock.

If you want to use your API tubes to measure out liquid fertilizer, pick one tube and mark it with a Sharpie; make it your dedicated fertilizer tube and keep your other tubes clean for testing.

Very interesting experiment! You mentioned "more root tabs on Tuesday", I have read the thread twice and missed which type of root tabs you are using, frequency and location ( one under each plant?)

Got a super deal on a 4 x 4 inch mat of Java Fern. Cut it up into three different size clumps and now trying to find room in my 20 G. Wasn't looking to buy any Java but it was too great a bargain to pass up.

What you describe is one fantastic experience. Our saltwater colleagues can experience coral reef dives but it is rare to hear of immersion into the freshwater world of our aquarium livestock.

Perhaps someone knowledgeable like @OnlyGenusCaps could tell us if these aerial roots are for anchoring only or do they perform a nutritive function as well. Do they indicate a nutrient deficiency in the water column?

As far as settings for your 120 G, I cannot help you much as I have only a 20 G. I suggest you go to Youtube.com and search for "Bentley Pascoe Fluval Planted 3.0" . He has a great series on the Planted 3.0 and he has a program called "Day Sim" which might be a good starting place for your tank. His tanks are heavily planted so you may need to start at a lower peak intensity. Keep us in the loop.

Hello @Adam H, welcome to the forum. You have chosen a great thread to be a part of. Your tank looks as if it has been setup fairly recently, has it completed its nitrogen cycle yet? You have purchased a fantastic light, now you need to fill your tank with plants to soak up all those photons. Everything I have read suggests starting your tank with as many plants as your budget allows. Right now, algae will utilize the nutrients and photons and try to fill all the space between your plants. Think about handfuls of fast growing stem plants like Hygrophila and Elodea.
