Give me your one song you would like to hear during the holidays. I'll likely end up making a Spotify playlist or something if we get enough for everyone.
Here's mine:
The tempo of @nabokovfan87 song, if it was played at a concert everyone would have their lighters up 🔥.

@Tanked that was EPIC! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! 😍 🤣🎉🍺
As of recent years, I’ve been digging the Frank Sinatra version of Jingle Bells.Just curious, does anyone else feel emotional when they hear this one? —> Home Alone song
Sidenote: husband came up with some new lyrics for Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Originally lyrics: Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, will find it hard to sleep tonight. Husband’s lyrics: Tiny tots with their hearts all aflutter, will soon be eating bread and peanut butter. 🤣

Gift from brother
Gift from husband
Gift from friend. This is a garden fish. It has a stake and can swim outside in the plants. But I keep it inside.
Souvenir from FL keys. Bought at a booth at a craft fair there. Also I swim them past the betta tank and he chases them. Good stimulation/exercise.
And of course I needed one of these too:
Metal art. I think I got at Ross.
And here’s a clutch. Get it? A clutch! From my husband.
I have a lot of sea turtle art around too.

It takes multiple days for no planaria to work.
cc @Chick-In-Of-TheSea used it and got rid of some hydra as well.
I used No Planaria in my tank for scutariella japonica and it killed the hydra I had. I would often watch the hydra and NEVER saw them catch or try to catch a shrimplet. The hydra were green, so I believe they were eating algae or catching the Soilent green powder I was feeding.

I think they say actually 48 hours but probably better to be on the safe side.
Glad to hear people dose for the full volume of the tank during water changes because I feel like that's just safer than underdosing.
Yes I dose at 24 hr because I don’t want them to suffer if/when it wears off.

You know, that's what I always read, and it's like what does that even mean. I mean if it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck.. I just don't see how it locks up ammonia.
It changes the properties of the ammonia, rendering it nontoxic for 24 hours. Like how you take ibuprofen for a headache and when the ibuprofen wears off the headache comes back.

I’d personally water change when I see ANY ammonia. Ammonia is highly toxic to fish, even at low levels. This may slow the cycle, sure, but I think it won’t slow it that much because you added bacteria as well.
Prime “locks up” ammonia for 24 hrs but it’s still ammonia, and will show up on a test.

Friend has been experimenting with her worm cultures; they go crazy for flake food. The white worms seem more active, in more areas of the container, she reports.

So I think the 5.5g will be scaped and that will continue to house the embers. The original plan was for them to live with the shrimps but now that I see how they eat, I don’t trust them at all with shrimplets. But first they need to continue on with quarantine. There was a sick fish in their tank; he passed; and so their quarantine clock has reset and we will go one more month before changing up the tank.
Sidenote: when I go to edit what I’ve written, I tap to get a cursor but it’s highlighting a whole word instead.. then I have to manually drag to unhighlight and let go where I want the cursor to be. Not sure if it’s a forum thing or a mobile device thing, but it’s only been happening for a few days. Anyone else noticing the issue?
Edit: seems to be happening on my other apps too, so, not a forum thing. Annoying though. Phone must’ve gone through some update.

Instructions here
I diluted it in tank water then poured that solution in.

Snoopy is ticked off! Despite sending them down the tube to target Snoop, the tetras pushed in and stole 95% of the white worms! After they already ate a ton of grindals!
I did reattempt, to make sure she got a few with the baster then. But this happened afterward. She’s holding a grudge and wants her space!
She is particularly annoyed with the pristellas. The black neons she doesn’t seem to mind.
Part of the prob is she instantly wants to rub her belly in the worms (shown in a previous vid), the worms float about, and it’s fair game to whoever is around…

No. I rinse after only to remove whatever gunk the peroxide bubbles up. You can just let it dry or if it’s not an excess amount you don’t even need to allow it to dry. It breaks down to water.
Great. The bleach, triple rinse, and dechlorinate routine is getting old. Therefore I’m doing it less and less. I have a holding area (dish pan) for each tank that contains the stuff that I’ve used in that tank. When I have time, I do the bleach routine but I want something quicker so I can immediately use a tool on another tank if I want to. Plus, I always get a rash on my wrists after using bleach. But I don’t use good quality, or long enough, gloves. ☹️

I think you will be fine using the hydrogen peroxide method. I clean hoses with peroxide. I’ve cleaned media with peroxide. It never hurt them.
Old post, but question: do you have to rinse after using the peroxide?

Starting to acclimate the ember tetras to a tank light. It makes them look very nice.
I gave them a plant as well.

It could be egg bound or have something internal going what I would do is fast for a couple of days and follow up with Epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes for 5 days if your seeing no improvement
What about feeding freeze dried daphnia? Wouldn’t the “husks” help clear a digestive tract (if that’s the issue)?

Something about this snail has my brain convinced it's not a bladder snail, but I honestly couldn't tell you what, specifically. It just looks 'wrong' to me. I don't suppose it matters a whole lot though.
Ha. It is a descendant of the 3 bladder snails I was given. I placed them into the jar, and then for awhile I had like 50 bladder snails of various sizes.

Hey @TheSwissAquarist, how’s the shrimp jar doing?
