Beardedbillygoat1975
Have a small colony of guppies in my sons tank started with 2 males and 4 females and the 2nd male disappeared - I cleaned and searched the tank over the last 2 weeks but never found the body. Water parameters have been super solid - pH 7.6, kh 4-6, gh 10, tds 250, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5-10. Temp is 77. Today noticing the male with a more tattered appearance to his tail, one female with blotchy white spots and another female with almost white pom poms on the pectoral fins. Want to nip this in the bud if I can. My preliminary diagnosis is Ich and some stress related fin rot. Essentially one leading to the other. Was thinking of either just bumping up the temp to 80 and adding salt or Being more aggressive and dosing Ich-x and maracyn. Thoughts and opinions appreciated. Colu
It's difficult off that pictures to tell if it ich can you try and get a better picture if you can ich looks like small grains of salt on the fins and body of your if it looks like this treat with ick x you can treat with aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons or maracyn if you have live plants Edited March 19, 2021 by Colu
