LisaM62
My 10 gallon tank has 3 neon and 3 Mickey Mouse Platy. It is planted with a variety of wonderful plants from your store. I have an aqueous hanging filter and a sponge filter. I cycled it with the plants in it and let it run after that for a couple of weeks before adding first the platy, then the neons. It was crystal clear until last week. Now it is white and cloudy. It was so bad, I couldn't even see in the tank last week, I did a 25% water change. It's still cloudy but less so now. It was nice for about 6 weeks (just like the top tank) and now this. Does anybody know what could be causing it and how to clear it up?
Jollypop4321
It’s a bacterial bloom. It usually goes away on its own after a couple days. If not I have found that an small addition of nitrifying bacteria helps to clear things up.
Fish Folk
It sounds like a bio bloom. It might clear up on its own. If it’s green, then it’s “green water.” How do the fish seem?
