LisaM62
My Betta is alone in a fully planted 10 gallon tank. I added a frog and he had disappeared by the next morning. The whole day he was there, my betta showed no interest in it. Will a betta eat an entire frog in one day?
MAC
I would say unlikely. I have three frogs in a moderately planted 10 gallon by themselves and sometimes I struggle to locate all of them. Your frog could be hiding away somewhere. How long has it been unaccounted for?
LisaM62
About 4 days now. I moved around some of the plants and can't find him. I did add live blackworms in case he was still in there somewhere alive.
MAC
Hmm. That is a while to be completely missing. I suppose a betta, if set out to do so, could dispose of an entire frog but I think you'd have seen some evidence of that. Unless there's a way for the frog to escape or be sucked into a filter there would at least be a body. Maybe it is still shying away. You could try turning on the light at a random time in the night to see if it's being nocturnal.
Patrick_G
This year I’ve had two frogs jump out of the tank, we found one body in a closet about 15’ from the tank and never found the other.
