Calorad
I want to set up a tank with african cichlids. I currently have a spare 55 gallon tank that could use. How many cichlids could I get if I used it and what kinds of rocks and decorations could I use?

HardeepTheLondoner
This depends on lots of things- Are you using tap water? How’s the PH/GH/KH? Are you wanting Mbuna’s, Peacocks or Haps? This is Lake Malawi. The most common Lake Tanganyika fish are Shell dwellers, such as Multies and Similis. Your hardscape and stocking will vary based on what you would like to keep.
