would a hillstream loach be okay in a 10g tank?

 

I really want a hillstream loach but I'm not sure 10g is enough.  It would live with some shrimp and 3 guppies.

Yes a 10 gallon would be okay for a hill stream loach but a 20gal is probably more appropiate.

Hillstream loach like to be keeped in  groups  of 3 or more and like a lot of current  and hiding places I think 20gallon would be better in the long term

Corey had a care video where he said current wasn't as important as people think and it was more about high quality food.  I think he also said 1is okay and 3+ is okay but not 2.  But he didn't really mention tank size and all I know is from his videos

Current isn't required but they do like it. I have kept them both with and without current. What they do require is more oxygen than the typical fish and therefore surface agitation is something that's required. Imo 1 in a 10 is ok given there is enough surface agitation.
