Water Testing

Hello everyone I am wondering what everyone uses for water testing mainly when setting up a new tank I usually use the api 5 in 1 water test strips is what I think there called but was wondering if there’s something else that I should be using

I like the Tetra 5:1 strips plus the liquid API ammonia test. The ammonia test strips aren’t great and the tetra multi strips are a bit more consistent than the API ones

API ammonia for me too. 
honestly though, I use it once to set up something new then just seed any other tanks with a some filter media from the first.

I reccomend either the tetra test strips or API Master Test kit. The API test strips are fairly inacurate.

Yeah after reading some of the online reviews I ordered the master test kit thank you

NTL and Tetra liquid test kits. If you want to test your Nitrate I would recommend Tetra rather than API, I found the API difficult to read as the 40ppm and 80ppm levels are the same colure. Tetra is more of a 'fuff' but easier to read and accurate.
