KyleKVK
My fish absolutely love bloodworms. I keep reading that frozen is better than freeze-dried but there's no real reason as to why. Some say it's because they expand and cause bloat, some say there's less nutrition in them, and some say that they're functionally identical. I'd love to know. I could get frozen blood worms from my big box pet store but 1) I like supporting the coop (they're one of my 2 LFSs, although I've not been in person yet!) and 2) freeze-dried is just easier
Colu
I prefer frozen because with live food you could be introducing parasites in to your aquarium
Larrimore
I use both. I think the process of freeze drying can cause the loss of nutrients but don't really know. I will say, a frozen sheet of blood worms will feed a ton of fish.
gardenman
Frozen is better for me as I'm very allergic to the freeze-dried ones. If I open the freeze-dried ones I start sneezing within seconds.
SpicyFin
I have had a few fish bloat from Freeze dried and since I'm super allergic I no longer keep it in my house.
