Tanked Posted July 10 Share Posted July 10 I was looking for information on how low frequency vibrations travel through water. A google search led me to a vibrating pool of water ...to a vibrating glass of water. and eventually to make a left turn to Jurassic park and a quaking cup of coffee. Google is all about scenes of two vibrating water cups, which must have been in a movie that I did not see. I don't think it is a false memory, because I did find one other site that mentioned that cup of coffee. Tanked Posted July 11 Author Share Posted July 11 Mystery solved! I asked a friend of mine the same question last night. I had the correct cup of coffee, on the wrong dashboard. Some time ago, we had stopped for a long traffic light, and I placed the styrofoam cup on the dash. The occupants of the car behind us were killing brain cells with some amped up bass. Volume level aside, We got a laugh watching the concentric circles that were clearly visible in my coffee.
