AJE
What are your daphnia set ups like? I have a 55 gallon barrel filled to the brim with them and a back up 5 gallon bucket incase the main colony crashes Edit: It can be any live food set up you have, not just daphnia Edited November 23, 2020 by AJE
Daniel
I have a pool with rice fish and guppies and koi. But there are not enough fish to harm the Daphnia(Moina) population. This is a daily trawl. Did you see the Rantra at the end?
AJE
Nice. I did not see the Rantra I don't even know what it is. Is it like daphnia? I feed like 2 or 3 of those net fulls that I did in my video a day.

Daniel
As far as I can tell they aren't harmful to fish or fry. I have got one in a green water aquarium and no one has ever gone missing. They kind of look like an Ent to me (Lord of the Rings tree people).
AJE
Do the fish eat them? Can they just live in a tank?
Ken Dyer
according to google rantara are vegans (and sadly short lived) so sounds like they wouldn't hurt a fly fry 😉

Jeff
Where does everyone get their Daphnia culture from? I got one from Amazon this summer, and it didn't work. I followed Cory's advice to a T.
AJE
I bought a couple bags from my Lfs and just put them in the barrel
