you know when they say that, it sounds like a direct invitation for a 75g 🤣

Oh I'm working on the 6' tank in the living room. That has yet to secure consensus.

we have a betta tank in the bedroom. 10g with 1 betta, 1 snail, and 8 harlequin rasboras. it's nice, but it needs to be bigger. well, okay, outside the bedroom is the 75g angel, ram, cory tank.😅

I am happy not having a spouse to ask.  Me and the 80 gallon tank starting up, percolating if I want to add a refugium for it lol.

Well she already ok'd replacing the 36 with a 55. Baby steps!

My understanding is that a Beta is actually much happier in a 120 gallon tank as opposed to a 5 gallon.  Just let your wife know that you want to make the Beta as happy as possible...

Ah - the quarantine tank maneuver.
"I can't risk infesting my tank, but this could take some time"

Then proceed to make it look really pretty and be very happy with the way it looks

"What a shame that it has to go down once the fish are safe"

Haha truly one of the best methods. Just keep setting up "holding/quarantine" tanks. Before you know it you have quite the collection!

I've used this tactic in a different hobby. It wasn't needed for the aquarium.

My friend is teaching me to ride a dirt bike. >I'll be safer if I have a helmet that fits my fat head >I'll be safer if I have my own bike to put under the helmet > 🏍️
