dasaltemelosguy
Hello All, I have a fry tank full of EBAs being grown out. It's about 2 weeks old. About 2 days ago, small, white specs began appearing all over the glass. They now cover every square inch of the inside of the tank. These are the white things on the glass: These are the fry: These are the parents: Not knowing if I was looking at plant or animal, I put them under a microscope, and it seems they are alive and have motor ability. It appears they have tentacles and try to snatch unwitting passerby microbes. They look a little like some anemones. This 1-minute video of them is recorded at 400X: Does anyone know what they are? Thanks for looking!
Guppysnail
@Biotope Biologist may know. I get them in new setups but have no idea what they actually are. (I should say something that looks like these in the wall)

Seems like I don't see them much in tanks that have glass cleaners. But they seem to pop up in anything that doesn't have them.
TOtrees
Cool! They remind me of the virtual game from Star Trek TNG, when the crew got hypnotized/mind-controlled playing it. So ahead of its time LOL. snip from: https://jphalt-startrek-tng-reviews.blogspot.com/2011/12/5-06-game.html Edited March 5 by TOtrees

And these certainly match the description and appearance of stentors.
