Attaching plants underwater

Good morning.  I am wanting to add some Anubias to the drift wood in my 125g that is already up and running.  What are some suggestions on how to attach the plants underwater?  
I have super glue and twist ties but wanted to get y’all’s feedback before I went and picked up the plants.

@Odd Duck taught me how. You put a drop of glue on the plant and shove it through the water column fast.  Hold it on the spot you picked out ahead of time.  You only have a few seconds because the water activates the curing of super glue.

I've made the mistake of using too much superglue and when it dries out, it's bright white and ugly.  I'm going to try out the method Guppysnail mentioned.  I've been gluing mine out of water and using too much glue.  I'd love to get the technique down so it looks more natural.

I've used thread with good success. Once roots actually grab onto driftwood the thread can be removed. Just make sure not to get it too tight and cut into the rhizome. Twist ties would work too but thread with a natural color would blend in better.

Thanks everyone.  I ended up using a combo of super glue and twist ties and all the plants seem to be attached pretty well. I’ll get a picture tomorrow when the lights are on.
