Amazon Swords emersed or submersed?

found this useful comparison on the ACO website:

when i got my sword from ACO it was mostly emersed growth but quickly grew submerged. I recall Cory saying in a livestream that getting submerged plants or not can often depend on when you order and when their plant deliveries are.

@GoofyGarra beat me to it lol. In general, submerged grown plants will be much softer and more flexible, with slightly translucent foliage. Emersed grown plants will usually be more rigid, with more opaque foliage. This is because plants don't need as much rigidity to support their own weight under water.

That is somewhat true in general but there are sword varieties that have more rounded leaves even in their submerse form.  It is definitely true of Amazon swords - Echinodorus bleheri.
