Rainbowfish
It seems I’ve bred some baby hillstream loaches in my normal tank, they’re housed with 2 Bosemani rainbowfish, 5 dwarf neon rainbowfish, about 8 Kuhli loaches and 6 adult Hillstream loaches. I’ve heard they’re very rare to breed but it seems I have 2 babies appear by accident. They seem very active and they aren’t afraid of any of the bigger rainbowfish. Fish Folk
Hmm… doesn’t quite look right to me for a HSL fry. But I’ve never bred them before.

That’s what I was thinking but they seem to stick to the glass like the HSL. They also seem to be more “loach” shaped than a Kuhli loach fry which from the pictures I’ve seen are much skinnier. They look like a mix between the 2, I guess I’ll see more in a month or two.
Fish Folk
I wonder if you got baby loaches / eggs in with some plants recently? They can hide awhile.

the other Irene
looks like reticulated hillstream loach fry. I have a ton breeding in my fancy goldfish tank. they start off streamline and get the adult shape much later.
