Common pleco with Java Moss

I am thinking about putting Java moss on the rock carrins I have in my tank.  But I have a common pleco and don't want him to eat them.   I have seen on some other forms that if you give them enough food they won't bother it.  Thoughts?

there's only one way to find out, but id not put money on him not eating it.

Feed him. That’s not a guarantee but that’s the only way to try to do it. Feed the algae  wafers but you need to get some. Good sinking food with protein. Adult common plecos aren’t eat a ton of algae. They will enjoy shirmp wafers or krill. I have moss in with some plecos and don’t have any issues. That said there not common. What size tank is that? I have a few common plecos that were given to me because I have a big tank.

I keep him well feed with pleco blocks. He also eats left over food from the Oscar in there.  The tank is 125 gallons.
