  1. Me personally won’t buy neons anymore to many issues in supply chain.
  2. I have had a few set up this way. I think they are not for everyone, and probably not for most of us here. I will say the best planted tank I ever had. Once’s it’s set up you don’t mess with it. I don’t do many water changes anyway on my well planted tanks. Anyway they can work, your first few may fail as you learn, last they aren’t for everyone. If you only have one tank you may not want do this on your tank if you have a fish room give it a try.
  3. Looks amazing. I just f took mine down for a move and am going to restart everything
  4. I did the experiment with Sand, eco-complete, and gravel. I think it depends on what you want most. It was testing for root growth and the deep gravel did the best. I personally use Coal slag or BDBS in my largest tanks. I like the look and I choose plants that meet the needs of the tank. I do ding I harder to vacuum the sand. You have enough experience now to use which ever you want and will get the hang of either. I only have 3 tanks over 150 so I use sand in those and the take the longest to maintain. The 18 onlyes have gravel or moss substrate? That a different beast). I can choose but I tent to recommend a larger gravel. I think it’s the easiest for most people.
  5. My health is the most important thing. I hurts to not lose the time and money that they made for me. On a fixed income them the added income was a big deal.
  6. I had a second heart attack and am recovering. It’s harder to second time. I should be ok after rehab. I lost my breeding colony of L333’s during that time. That’s upsetting but nothing compares to being here alive. I don’t want to call out names because I don’t want to miss any one but thank you friends for the support you have given me.
  7. I agree for the king tigers I find the GH is more important that the temp. As long as you are in the 78- 84* range. I personally think that I get a more even split in sexes 78-80. I raise them up at higher temps 82-83*. the leopard frog are harder for me be the temps are higher at 80-83* I feed mostly protein. Shrimp wafers from Hikiari and some other sinking foods with some veg once or twice a week.
  8. Here are some before and after This one is long so you can skip I didn’t know how to make it shorter After:☹️ I guess I should be happy that I final get to use the real cypress stumps that I have hade soaking for over 2 years. I still had to add a plate to the bottom to hold it down. The smaller two are sitting on the bottom although I think they are more like floating at the bottom. It a fish swims by to fast they could move. They are going to move to the 120 when the stand is done. I think I mentioned that I was getting a 150g. Well I did but I kinda of got the short end. It was supposed to come with a stand well it didn’t show up with one. So now I have to build a stand.
  9. I wanted to give everyone a quick update. @Tommy Vercetti made several of these for me. Now I just got them and I had to quickly try at least one before I have to go. It’s amazing. You all seen that any idiot basically build one me being that idiot(please is shot at myself and no one else). I used one that required no drilling an in less than 5 minutes every thing was setup. I love it. I’ll post some videos so you can see the difference in sizes, drill and no drill. I have to thank @Tommy Vercetti for all the hard work and @cory for put a group of people together that can work together to solve each other’s problems.
  10. They are. It was my second attempt and I didn’t really know. Since then I made it you advised me of the size and I have them. I was a little nervous about going through drill bits. I have a bit of a habit of breaking them as well. You would think after all these years I would know to let the tool do the work and and not so much tour de force. I thought it was a cool to see. I had a little fun with it. I titled the one poorly done Jetlifter. It has the Most views of any video I have ever posted.
  11. I had the kids asking for dinner out for a week when I bend the pipes for deans tubs.
  12. I’m upset about it but looking forward to added two more tanks. I just talked to the person delivering the 150 which Ii think is way bigger than than she gave me the measurements and and I’m a little dis a pointed. For some reason I thought it was 72 in but it’s only 48. I passed up on that was 72 for the same price. when I was looking some aaaqqqqq away claims they have a 65g for $20 so I might get that for breeding. I has also been a trade said to be done for a 3rd 120 in a trade for a 45 bow front. So I’ll have more tanks but two will go by the pool as breeders or one my go in my sons room since he moved out SORRY this post are disjoint med probably spelled poorly and grammar non-existent. I have not sleep but for a few hours 20 mins at time since Thursday. Thank you for the support. 00
  13. I will likely try a discus tank. I lost the ones I had in the 75. Discus and big school of tetras,
  14. I doubt it but I don’t know. The house is at 80 and the heater tends not to run in the summer. And it’s been summer for about 2 months in south Fl
