Green Tiger Barb went missing

I just got back from a 5 day vacation and can’t find my tiger barb anywhere. It was the last survivor from the school I had a few months back. I had an automatic feeder set at the back of my lid while I was gone. Tank has been well established for over a year. I tested water immediately, Ammonia and nitrites are at 0 ppm, nitrates are at 10 ppm. I checked the whole surrounding area to see if we had a jumper no luck. I have a pre filter sponge so no way he’s in the HOB. tank is a 75 gallon stocked with;

8 skirt tetras

4 pictus catfish

2 Blue acaras

1 super red pleco

1 dwarf gourami

Your pictus, pleco and other fish most likely took care of the remains if he passed. Check behind the prefilter sponge for any remains.

Just saw this today when I woke up. My guess is it’s remains, any thoughts?

R.I.P.   At least you know it wasn't a jumper.  Some time this week the last of my Zebra Danios will likely join your Green Tiger Barb.

Check behind the tank in the floor. Around the openings on the lid.

Very sorry for your loss.  Do you know what happened to the school?

I originally had 4 total. The second I put them in they all were aggressive with each other. I think they just bullied each other to death unfortunately. Once I was down to one I decided to let him live out his best life without buying anymore. He was fine very active, even seemed to school with my skirt tetras a lot. Not to sure what made him pass though, he was healthy before I left. 🤷🏻‍♂️
