Filter flow

Hi. I noticed my aquaclear filter flow has slowed down do you know why and what I can do to get the flow strong again?

If theres a sponge prefilter or sponge inside, I'd clean that out. rinse it in some water and put it back and see how that works

Check your intake tube for debris. If you have a prefilter that may need cleaned. If that does not work. Take it off the tank. Twist the black motor off, remove the impeller and use filter brushes to clean the motor.

When my filter slows down, I do a deep clean on the sponge and the filter itself

Normally when a filter slows down it's one of a few reasons.

A.  Muck in the impeller or pump (impeller shaft, pump housing, etc.)
B.  Pre-filter sponge is clogged up, lowering input flow
C.  The actual filter itself is just very, very dirty.

Clean it, make sure you check the pump impeller too.  Use a toothbrush and stuff if you need to in order to clear out heavy debris.

Step 1: rinse out the filter media (sponge etc) in tank or other dechlorinated water.

Step 2: Let us know if that doesn’t work.
