anewbie
Yea. It took me a long time to get it out of all my tanks; but once done it makes you feel a lot happier !

What this experiment has taught me is that four months is how long it takes me to stop paying attention! And, right on time...duckweed is back in ALL my tanks. I have not been vigilant and must have brought some in from the pond on a net or my hands. I have been able to maintain a sense of humor about it so far, but I am going to have another podcast and duckweed duckweed removal day as soon as gardening/kayaking/camping season is over. In other words: I have NOT been successful in my battle against duckweed, but I remain valiant and optimistic, lol.
anewbie
It can be done - it only took me 3 or 4 months to finally get rid of it and i ain't ever bringing it back. A bit of surface current will help in your fight against it.
Tanked
My experiment to grow enough Duckweed to function as an automatic feeder is also a failure. I am constantly reintroducing Duckweed to my large community tank. I know that Silver Dollars will control or remove Duckweed and all of the other plants. The Angel fish are eating whatever Duckweed the SDs miss.
