I know I'm doing it how I'm suppost to. But I still get nervous like I'm doing it wrong 😮 On 8/19/2022 at 8:30 PM, Chick-In-Of-TheSea said: Yeah I wake up each morning thinking is today the day? Im sure it's flotsam first clutch so I think they just need more time than some other snails that have had multiple clutches before. 1

TeeJay
It's day 17. I have new pics and when I pick it up it feels way more crumbly now than it ever has before. Like if I touch it to much it will fall apart. But I can't tell if there ready. @Guppysnail @Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
We better ask @Guppysnail. I think when it’s fall apart stage it’s ready? I think that means that within the clutch some are chewing out the walls of their eggs. Let’s see if she can confirm before you do anything. Chick-In-Of-TheSea
@TeeJay is this egg open? Does it look wet/shiny inside? From the pic it looks like a snail is coming out.

But I couldn't rememver if those had always been popped since I found the clutch or not.
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Look inside the open eggs to see if any look wet and shiny. If that is what you see inside those open eggs, those are snail shells.

I can't tell if the two little bits off of it are snails they haven't moved yet but in the pic I think I see a couple open eggs that look wet and shiney! TeeJay
Ok just put some banana block in with them close to where I crumbled the egg sac. Omg my heart is pounding! I hope I see some movement soon. Glad I have a 15 gallon tote coming on my wal Mart order today
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Since they are little it may seems like no movement at first but they are going places- just slowly because they have little feet! We will see what it does. Maybe nothing, maybe something. Either way, you’ve got babies! 🐌
TeeJay
I see at least 1 I watched him move right on the top center of the wood horrible pic I can see all the little gold and brown dots that are the snails mixed with what's left of the clutch. I observed for a few minutes. I went ahead and turned off the light so they can relax while the get used to being in a new world Edited August 21, 2022 by TeeJay
