Beau Burkhalter
Can keeping dry food (extreme pellets) in a freezer lengthen freshness? I’m wondering if the difference would be worth even taking up space in the freezer. Anyone had experience with this?
Odd Duck
It should help for backstock. It doesn’t help for the open containers since it would let moisture in every time you open the container which could damage the food more by moistening the food when defrosted. Freezing for at least 30 days would also kill most any insects or eggs that might be in the food.
Guppysnail
I use a food saver to remove the air and seal each time only leaving a few weeks worth at a time exposed to air.
