They aren’t harmful, water mites don’t swim around like that, and daphnia and copepods have a more jerky motion of swimming plus look differently. PineSong Posted March 8, 2022 Share Posted March 8, 2022 Wow, you have a lot! I have a few in my 5 gallon where they seem to enjoy living among the large stones. Mine are greenish and chubby and I usually see just one or two swimming at once. It’s been several months and there’s been no population explosion. My guppies pay them no attention that I can see.
