Flumpweesel
Not an expert but looks to be like Ick or Epistylis Here are a couple of links that might help rule things out https://aquariumscience.org/index.php/10-2-2-ich/ https://aquariumscience.org/index.php/10-2-4-epistylis/
JL316
Thank you so much for the reply! it looks like epistylis. Do you have experiences with FH shedding? I was curious if he was ill or shedding
Flumpweesel
Sorry no personal experience with flowerhorns been tempted though. I don't think shredding would look quite like that hopefully someone more experienced will step in. The best thing I feel we can do for fish is keep the water pristine while they fight things. The treatments mentioned in there links sounds pretty comprehensive. Best of luck got my fingers crossed for you

JL316
@Flumpweesel Thank you so much for your kind words! Currently doing 50% WC + salt bath. This was my first FH. I would highly recommend if you have space. @Coluim currently doing salt bath, can I feed kana-led while doing salt bath? Heard you do one to not stress the fish. also, I currently don’t have focus rn, is their an alternative ingredient? Or can I use it without focus? Colu
You can do both kanaplex is more effective against Epistylis salt is effective as Epistylis feeds off the bacterial on the skin of your fish and spread more rapidly at higher temperatures Edited February 8, 2022 by Colu
