Leo2o915
Question about root tabs added 3 to my five gallon with a planted soil but the white gel came out and is floating above the soil now so the water is a little cloudy that’s normal right ? Did I not put the tabs deep enough ?
Patrick_G
They do tend to float a bit. Poking the gel capsules with a needle before inserting them can help. If I see the gel cap floating (without it’s contents) I’ll remove it from the tank. I haven’t had any cloudy water issues from root tabs but maybe someone else can address that issue. TheG2What
I had a couple where the white substance came up through the substrate as well. I didn't bury those deep enough. It eventually disappeared on it's own and I haven't seen any negative side effects. I'd say just let it be and try to bury them deeper next time. lefty o
stuff em in deeper, or poke a hole in them. if the gel cap itself comes up, just fish it out. it wont hurt anything, but is kinda ugly looking.
