  1. This is the first I'm hearing that y'all will be in Dallas! My daughter has been asking if we can make the trip up from Austin. This might have just sealed the deal!
  2. That makes sense. Thank you! I'm sure it'll all make sense as I experiment and see what happens.
  3. I'm not good with plant names, so I'm not sure what these are called, but what is the best part of these tall stem plants to trim them? I'm hoping I can trim the tops of them and re-plant them. I'm thinking I should trim just below where two leaves are growing off the main stem. Is that accurate? Thanks in advance!
  4. I appreciate the info! I think I'm going to turn the powerhead back off. There are a lot of plants, and some driftwood, but there is definitely still a lot of flow. I had a large school of rummynose tetras in this tank previously and they loved swimming against and with the flow but, like you said, angels aren't as good of swimmers. Thanks!
  5. I have a planted 75 gallon that I am stocking as primarily an angelfish tank. There are also some corydoras at the bottom. I have a powerhead in the tank. I had it off for awhile, but I recently turned it on to get some more circulation in the tank. Now I can't tell if the angelfish like it or hate it. They mostly keep out of the flow, but at times they are swimming against it (mainly when I walk in or while feeding). They are still small, so there is plenty of room for them to get out of the flow and chill. I'm just curious if they will still be happy as they get bigger and need to utilize more space in the tank. Thoughts? Thanks!
  6. I put a medium size in my planted 29 gallon. I think that will be the right size. I can't speak to the nano pump as I've never used one. I would imagine it will work for that setup though.
  7. I recently joined the forum and I'm still exploring. It was fun stumbling across this thread to see the origins of the fish room. I've enjoyed the videos. Thanks for sharing so much!
  8. Nice! I look forward to watching your progress.
  9. I'll have to remember this tip when I get a hatchery. Thanks for sharing!
  10. I had a couple where the white substance came up through the substrate as well. I didn't bury those deep enough. It eventually disappeared on it's own and I haven't seen any negative side effects. I'd say just let it be and try to bury them deeper next time.
  11. I've ordered two from them. The first was like this one, and the second had several leaves. I planted the first one and it has sprouted new growth, even after having nothing at the time of planting. Plant it and I bet it starts to grow. If it doesn't, they'll make it right.
