Gideyon
My ziss "never clog" airstone seems to be clogged. My understanding is I can clean the disks. Is a normal rinse enough or is there some special way to clean it?
Streetwise
I believe the branding was changed when the felt changed. @Cory updated the description on the store: It is now the Ziss Adjustable Air Stone.
Administrators Cory Posted November 24, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 24, 2021 Usually soaking in hot water or vinegar can get it pretty clean. I haven't tried bleach yet, but I imagine that'd do a good job as well if you rinsed well after and soaked in some dechlorinator. Streetwise is correct when they changed the felt, it was the same felt they used for their co2 diffuser which is a finer material and thus can lead to some issues in certain tanks. Thanks for the cleaning tips. Hopefully it won't happen again. I have a feeling it was due to crushed coral, which I won't be using anymore.
