Guppysnail Posted July 22, 2021 Share Posted July 22, 2021 They do not carry disease the way fish do or trasmit them to fish unless it’s wild caught they may have parasites internally but they must get eaten to transmit them. However someone on here said they can carry ich on their shell. I have never quarantined snails…I have tons I have never had ich and cannot verify this but thought it worth mentioning. I take mine from the bag and place in a specimen cup with tank water and a green bean to get a look at and make sure they are moving and healthy no operculum deformities etc. I swish and place into tank in an area I can monitor once they are on the move I’m satisfied.
