ARMYVET Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 its a bulb they will continue to do this as long as the bulb remains viable. Which could be indefinitely if water conditions are right. Bulbs go thru a dormancy period where they wilt back and just sit....when they come out of it they grow a new plant and start the cycle all over again. Patrick_G Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 The plant will use nutrients from the bulb to start growing and the bulb will receive nutrients from the mature plant before going dormant.
