Danie166363
Hello, I knocked my lighting unit into the tank and it struck my giant female betta. She now has popeye and a gash near her eye. She is eating, thank goodness. Should I start treating her with anything in the event it becomes infected? She is in a planted 20gallon long with 15 tetras, some snails, and shrimp. Water peramiters are all good. Temp is approx 81 degrees. I turned the light off to make her eye more comfortable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Colu
I would do a preventive treatment of maracyn to cover against secondary bacterial infections

Today was her 2nd day of maracyn. I suspect the gash has damaged her labrynth organ. She is now only at the top of the tank on a bed of floating plants.
