  1. I believe it does fade but you will have ups and downs with your wet pets.  I have had so many freak out moments during big moves or changes but after when the fish are good you feel a great euphoria and relaxation.  Remember, Corey says You'll stay in the hobby if you enjoy the hobby and for me that's falling in love with all my fish and giving them identities.  Love just watching them be happy.

What part of the hobby do you Love so far @KristinaC😊

  2. I've never been to Aquashella but watching YouTube videos makes me want to go next year.  Any tips or tricks or a favorite story from Aquashella?  Are they always Orlando, Chicago and Dallas?

    Thanks in advance for information!

  3. I seen an aquascape video where the guy put a bag of lava rock under his substrate to build a 'mountain' or high spot in the tank.  He also stated it would be a crazy amount of surface for bacteria to grow.  Is this true if he covered it with substrate?  I hope someone answers all of your questions @RogueAquarium

  4. @Casual aquaticscherry barbs are a good idea too they give you red color and are a peaceful fish.  Mine are as big as a female sword tail.

@xXInkedPhoenixX I Love your pottery center piece and I'm sure all your fish friends will too with this openings and awesome shape!  I don't know if you have a Petco close by but I saw ember tetras at the closes one to me, which is two hours away.  Your LFS may be able to get them for you or let you know of someone who has them within driving distance.

  5. I think Ember tetras will be a perfect addition I plan on setting up a 10gl with a school of embers and a male Betta.  I have him a in a large aquarium with Black Skirt tetras and they all get along well.  I don't believe he will have any issues with embers from what I've read online and YouTubed.  I do plan on 'flare excerising' him in hopes of him not becoming bored in the 10.  I guess we will see how it goes, can't wait to see pictures of your female and friends 😃 Best thing is to observe daily for a while to make sure everyone is happy.

  6. Can I just concrete to make XL fish caves?  I have two big boy leaf fish that love to hang out in slate "boxes"  I'm pretty sure they are 8" X8"X10".   I'm planning on moving them in about 6 months to a 150 and would like a more natural looking Cave area for them and even multistory to move them off the ground some.  Does anyone else have Leaf fish decoration ideas?  The Bala shark in the second picture is why we are moving to a 150gl I was that newbie who went to pet smart years ago and said cute little fish and bought three.  One didn't make it a week the other two well you know the story lol

  7. Thank You HH Morant!  I guess my source is a kiddie pool I fill up for my dogs every few days.  Whenever I go to clean it out it always has some wigglers. I'll give it a try I have two Angelfish but I may try it with my Pea Puffers first, they are definitely aggressive eaters.

  8. Hi Fish Friends,

I heard that you can feed Mosquito larva to your fish.  Does anything have to be done to the larva to make them 'clean' before putting them in a tank or can I drain off rain water and put them in?

Also, what live food would you all recommend growing in 'harvest tanks'.  I currently do ramshorn snails in a 5gl for my pea puffers and got some great advice here for starting Brine Shrimp 🐡 Thanks everyone!

  9. I haven't heard of using egg crate foam but I'm sure you could use Sponges that would come from a filter for padding, if need be.  I've never seen anyone put padding on rocks in videos but TV isn't always reality hehe. Could you do a layer of substrate rocks then build substrate up higher where you want it around the rocks?

  10. Hey Fish Friends!

I have 3 pea puffers in a 20 gallon and I thought about trying to hatch Brine Shrimp to add another food source.  I feed them live ramshorn, frozen blood worms, and frozen Carnivore Lover blend but I have always wanted to hatch brine shrimp.  Can you rinse the salt off the live shrimp before adding them in the tank.  I don't use salt in my pea puffer tank because they dont have scales so it didn't seem right to add salt.  Any advice on Pea Puffers or Brine shrimp would be great appreciated!
