  1. Would you recommend me getting a true male and another true female?
  2. They were sold as apistogramma cacatoides m + f pair
  3. Ok sounds good, they were sold as a true pair was I dooped, because they do look very different the one that I think is a male is duller in the body and the tail is very colorful, and the female is yellow the male I have two pics fins are longer too
  4. So are you agreeing that I have a pair? More color in the tail in the second pic and longer fins and body is more dull than the female I think ten first is a female and then the second is the male
  5. Ok thank you!, if I did ember tetras would you do like 6 of them and a trio of Corey’s?
  6. Ok thank you here is the updated tank I added another coconut hat so I have three caves stacked rocks and wood, and added 5 more swords. Is this what you wanted me to do?
  7. Hey guys so I recently went to a fish store and got a pair of apisto cacatoides, they were sold as a pair and the owner of the store said they were locally bred, what I want to ask is my female seems more aggressive than usual and chases the male around the tank and she is in and out of the two huts they have and she also has coloration on her tail. She is bright yellow too, I want to know if she truly is a female, the male is definitive and they are both younger, and also is it a breeding behavior, I have drift wood rocks and two caves, I will also attach a pic of the male too.
  8. Hi I have a question for you, I have a beautiful pair of apistogramma baeschi and are loving them, the one question I have is the male his two front bottom fins, I noticed that one is longer than the other is this typical? Or are they supposed to be exactly the same the reason I’m asking is if I need to know if he injured his fin or is it just how his body formed?
  9. Gotcha makes sense if I did one or the other how many would you recommend?

  15. Ok gotcha, I would say I have 2inches of substrate, so they would have 14 inches?
  16. Thanks for your input, I have a few questions tho I watched deans fish room video about angelfish and said you can do 3 angels in a 29, I’m 11 gallons bigger and longer, it is heavily planted, and 40 is the max size I can goin my apartment my intent was never to breed anything if it happens it happens, I wanted to make a South American tank, so was dean wrong?
  17. Hi guys I have a question I have a 40 breeder, with 12 cardinal tetras, 3 red shoulder mAnapacuru angelfish, and a pair of apistogramma baeschi,my question is can the angels and apistos live together their from South America so I would think so there have been no issues so far.
  18. Thank you, never knew they could be found in the wild So after reading the article it seems that they were selective bred where above fish folk said Belem Brazil they are found so are they wild and since they are breeding in captivity they are called different?
  19. Hi guys I have a question for ya, I have gotten 3 of these Belem Blue Angels for my big show tank, I've been trying to find out where they are from in the wild. I see different information every time, the most common one I have found is that in the wild the Belem Blue angels are found in northern south America, Is that correct, I'm just curious?
  20. Hi y’all so got a question to ask I had a rare opportunity to acquire a red wolf fish from a breeder in my area who had this guy, I received him yesterday very active and swimming everywhere, he is around 3.5 inches, the first question I want to ask, his fins are beat up tail looks like a bite was taken out not to bad but tail is beat up and his front fins are also beat up along with the top fin, my question is I know people say give it time and they will heal, but I have vitacheme vitamin for my tanks can I dose that and will that help expedite the process also, the question with the vitacheme is I have chemi pure the bags that are for planted tanks, it says on the back removes all medications , so should I remove those if I dose the vitamin or will they be fine, and. Also any tips you have feel free to let me know thx.
  21. Ok gotcha, if they have a good constant supply of snails then trimming their teeth should never have to be manually done? What is the happy temp they like it seems online they like around 78 degrees but want to see if that is correct
