So yesterday I dumped my whole filter of one of my other tanks in there. Now there is a bacteria bloom so I know I have a lot of bacteria in there now!

Here it is the hornwort and the wisteria are from the same tank in the 29 gallon tank

It is from my 29 gallon tank with a lot of algae. It has been established since Christmas.

So what I did was add hornwort and wisteria from one of my tanks. If I do that would it instantly cycle it.

I will send a pic of my tank today once I get my air pump which should be arriving today. I will be getting much more plants so I had to pull 3 plants from my other tanks and put them in there.

So I was wondering how you can instantly cycle a aquarium. If you guys have seen my post from yesterday you know I am starting a five gallon aquarium.I have chosen just white clouds and shrimp. Thanks for all the ideas. I was watching a video and this guy put the fish straight in then put some benificial bacteria in. Then right after that he put the fish in. I have some Bio-Boost and I have some API Quick Start. Do any of those work? Thanks, TacoPlayz

I have three. Two males and 1 female. I also have 2 female cherry shrimp in the tank. Is that enough to breed. Also can they crossbreed with the cherry shrimp.

I have a sponge over a canister filter and a bit of java moss. I have also a pot and catappa leaves. I will try the rock suggestion. Thanks

I’m not new in fact I have nine aquariums and take care of three bettas I didn’t really want to get any more bettas. I also do water changes every other week

Would Harlyquin rasboras work. I am going for a tank without a heater so they would probably have to be fish on the colder side.

I don't think I would do endlers becuause I have about a 150 baby guppy/endler cross bred guys.
