Thanks! So im assuming what I was thinking is correct. The bigger ones with a large frame are most likely female. While the skinny(er) ones with a stream lined body are probably males?
look at the anal fin, females have one, males dont. males have a gonopodium.

depends on the size of the guppies, but in general what i have seen is anywhere from 3-6 months. with closer to 6 months being more common. you will very likely have a population explosion coming soon.

Do I actually need to prep? Or can I just use it and put a rock on top of it to prevent from floating?
I have a few of the rectangular totes from Home Depot that I can use for prep
you dont have to prep it, especially due to its size. if it were mine, id probably brush it off, and hit it with a garden hose just to get loose junk off it.

you got some spindly wood there!😲 is probably fine as is. being that large, it would be difficult to soak it in a tub of hot water.

you definately need to supplement its food, even if you had algae. some veggies, or pleco wafers etc. those common pleco's especially as they get larger in an aquarium tend to occupy one spot most of the time.

razor blades work great, as long as you stay away from the silicone.

besides the fact you will figure it out by watching your fish, after a while your tank becomes well seasoned, and has a healthy bacteria colony you can get away with slightly over feeding your fish, as it will just feed the tanks bacteria with the excess.

2 degrees didnt do it, i would lean towards chlorine without any testing to prove things one way or the other. chlorine, or ammonia you will most likely notice their gills get extra red.

i would think foods with krill in them might help with reds, but id not guarantee it.

I'd leave it alone. Java ferns aren't necessarily dying completely when they produce new off-shoots.
correct. they could be 100% fine, or they could just be stressed, or they could be dying.

sucks, but if it starts getting fuzzy, its time has come to an end.

only thing i might do would be to drop an air stone in.

stick it where you want it, and get some water in it.

if you get so much ammonia buildup in the bag on the drive home, there's something wrong, or you are traveling far enough you should be doing some planning. #2 , maybe, maybe not. if your tank water, and bag water are within a degree or two up or down, it doesnt really matter, but if the bag water is quite a bit warmer than your tank, it can shock and kill the fish. if you still dont want to float the bag for 20min or so, set it against the outside of the tank for a while so the temps get closer to each other.
