    Let's take a guess that this program is for a larger tank. You could try just keeping the exact same time points, but halving the color percentages for each time point. Wait, watch the results, and then try a different fraction of power for that schedule.

    Nice. I am glad we are getting these in the thread!

    For any program, you can always scale it up or down.

    If you just implemented this new schedule, give it two weeks or a month and see if your algae goes up or down. Use that as a metric to scale your power. Do not change anything else while testing your lighting. If you want to test some other factor, leave your lighting alone for that period.

    Not off topic at all. This thread is for many types of lighting schedules, and I discuss my siesta programs early in the thread. I used paper graphs to map everthing out, and I considered any right-triangle section as being half of the equivalent rectangle period. With only ten points, I had just enough to schedule: ramp up 1, ramp down 1, seista 1, ramp up 2, ramp down 2, siesta 2, ramp up 3, ramp down 3, minimal blue wind-down bit, night. Once I got my schedule to fill my day, I slowly ramped up peak power based on my algae levels.

    So I basically sliced up a six-hour schedule to allow twelve hours of light, with two one-hour siestas, and a one-hour 1-2% blue period.

    If you are trying to dial in a specific color balance, I would recommend temporarily using Manual mode. You will be able to see the changes immediately and then take note of the levels to apply to your Pro mode schedule. Manual mode is also great for photos.

    One tip from from @Bentley Pascoe comes to mind when looking at the schedule. You may want to drop your blue levels a lot, since high blue can favor algae. My blue levels are usually in the single digits. You could also see what that does to your overall color.

    I’m not sure about your tinting, but all my tanks are tinted by tannins, intentionally.

    I got some fish chores done today. I minimized the tubing inside my sponge filters per Cory's recent video. I was unable to catch any of the Glowlight Tetras, or the CPDs, but I removed the White Clouds, and took them to the tubs to join the other White Clouds. I stopped by the LFS to drop off Duckweed and snails, and I decided to get six more Glowlight Tetras for the 16.

    I also picked up my very first Betta, a gorgeous blue female!

    I have a decision to make with stocking two of these tanks, and I would appreciate some advice. I don't want to add any additional apartment tanks, and I have outdoor tubs at my folks with White Clouds and various Neo Shrimp.

    I had a sudden loss of my Rainbow Shark in my 20 gallon. I loved that fish, but it was a bully, which forced me to move all Tetras and Danios to my 16 gallon bow.

    My 20 now has one YoYo Loach, a crew of Otos, and about four Amanos. My 16 has two CPDs, four Glowlight Tetras, and three White Cloud varieties, plus some Yellow Neo Shrimp.

    While I have thought about trying new fish, I think I should finish an old idea of running just one mid-level species per tank.

    My idea is to have the Glowlight Tetras in one of them, and the CPDs in another, and add more of each. I am also thinking of moving the White Clouds to my tubs with the much-younger White Clouds, but maybe I should keep them with one of the other species.

    On the other hand, this motley crew of community fish have been together, and maybe they should stay together in the 16 or move back together to the 20.

    They have spares because they sell used tanks, so they end up with a lot of other second-hand gear. I think most of it comes from former reef-keepers.

    I think I paid about $15 for a custom cut glass rectangle for a 16 gallon bow-front tank. I already had the curved portion. I previously had one cut at a local hardware store, but they could not chamfer the glass.

    That one task?

    I procrastinate on removing Duckweed from two of my small shrimp tanks. I have to check for fry, pull some snails for loach snacks, and then save the Duckweed to bring to my LFS for their Koi Pond.

    Which model? For the Nano, you can use the bracket backwards to get about seven inches of height. For the other models you might need to have something 3D printed or adapt some risers or a pendant kit.

    Do you quarantine plants?

    I put new plants in my utility tanks for a while, but only because I usually can't plant them right when they arrive. Sometimes they will grow out, and I will get more bits to plant in more places. I probably have a dozen cups underwater awaiting inspiration!

    I think they may be the same as Deep Blue and Aquarium Masters. I have eight of them from 1.25 gallons to 7.5 gallons, and I love them. Mine were sold as Deep Blue, but the plastic on the rimmed ones says Aquarium Masters.

    I am pretty sure I saw some of them in an Aquarium Co-Op warehouse tour.

    Edit: I found it. It is a Member's Only video, FYI. This should take you right to the right time.
