  1. Hi platy, We specialize in Bettas but inorder to go full time we needed a few others. Right now we have neo caridina, hillstream, and otos. We're branching into Cory's, khuli loaches (might be bad spelling), dwarf crayfish, rams and apistos. Thanks Patrick, I spent so much time typing I burnt my boiled egg lol 🤦‍♀️😅 I'll try to post some today.
  2. Idk if this is how a journal is started but I guess I'll find out. So we've been breeding for about 2 months now and loving it. Started with grabbing a beautiful blue Betta pet from a lfs. When we went to a PC or ps for supplies and we noticed how ugly and sad the Bettas we're in the stores. Me, being the go getter I am, decided to see if we could do better. 2 days, 30 hours of study and it was clear, I'm now a fish breeder. Fast forward another 2 months, clocked 368 hrs of study, later and now we have around 60 tanks and should be at around 200 in another 2 months. Our goal is to raise the absolute healthiest fish in Colorado tap water. So far so good. If you have any questions, we're all ears. This community has helped us a lot including Cory and his vids. Any inSight or encouragement welcome, we don't bite.
  3. Brand new to the forum. Some cool guys helped me out and recommended I start a journal to get my post count up. Only thing is, idk how. Any help would be appreciated 👍 🙏💯
  4. Increase your water temps. Cold equals females and warm equal males. If your temps are already up there, I would say maybe some sort of stress or lack thereof.
  5. Thanks allfishnobrakes and Schuyler, I'll try and start a journal. I have to try and find a way to get better quality pics. My camera is pretty good at making things look bad. Also, if anyone has tips on getting great fish pics I'm all ears. This is the best I can do right now
  6. Thanks Jettspapa. I still can't believe co op is so big. I thought it was crazy he had 800k subs and to see his warehouse totally gave me extra motivation to go all in. Thanks again and thanks co op for making this forum!
  7. Ive had a year old veil tail from a lfs that has produced around 200 fry successfully. I think it depends more on health and its just going to be more rare for large batches that are cared for enough to make them survive. I would think females are a bigger factor then males anyways. Best thing you can do is try and share your knowledge with us.
  8. Hi everyone, I accidentally didn't watch the video on the rules of the forum. i get common sense rules but is there any restrictions on a breeder such as myself, asking questions and experiences on the platform? What if my lfs don't buy all my stock, can i offer it on the forum? Just wondering, thank you!
