  1. Hello @Colu, @nabokovfan87, and @Odd Duck I hope you guys have been doing well Here is an update: I’ve been doing the treatment but he doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Now He can’t swim at all and hasn’t been eating 😔 He looks paralyzed. I feel very bad for him because he looks like he’s suffering, it makes me very upset to see him like that. I’m still doing all that I can but I don’t think he’s going to make it 💔
  2. Thank you very much @Odd Duck, you guys are definitely right, some things are just out of our control and all we can do at this point is to do all that we can to try to help them recover and learn from these experiences. He does get scared easily so you guys are right, it must be an injury. The little guys seems a little bit better, he does swim a little just not in an upright position so I feel there is some hope for him. Thanks you guys, I really appreciate your words of encouragement and your help and I will keep you guys posted 🙂
  3. Thank you for your words of encouragement, I really needed it. Hopefully he recovers, I will keep you guys posted, Thanks again 🙂
  4. Thank you for replying, @nabokovfan87 I’ve been upset all day not knowing what happened to him and what to do, thinking what did I do wrong. I was even thinking that even though I really love this hobby, that it was best for me to just leave it because I feel I’m not a good fish keeper because I’ve lost fish from the short time I’ve been in this hobby and its just been very discouraging. I’ve been really into this hobby, watching Aquarium Co Op and other YouTubers, always interested to learn to make sure I can create an environment for them to thrive but I felt very discouraged today seeing my first Cichlid like that and remembering all the fish I’ve lost 😔 Yeah it’s really weird because it was fine yesterday, he ate and everything and all of a sudden today when I went to look at the tank, he was like that. From the time I’ve had him, he has never showed any symptoms until today 😔 At first I thought it was Fish TB but is that he hasn’t shown any signs of disease until today. Do you think he will recover?
  5. Thank you very much @Colu, I really appreciate it, I really hope he recovers
  6. Thank you!! @Colu I'm going to do this but at the moment I don't have a separate tank, can I add this salt into my tank? Also Just to make sure, Do plecos tolerate salt?
  7. Hello guys, I really need your help. I have a dwarf flag Cichlid that is swimming on its side. Yesterday, he was fine, showed no signs of illness and he ate flake food that I feed them yesterday but today when I went to check the tank, he was laying on its side and he swims a little but on its side. All my other fish are fine, no signs of disease, its just this fish. There is no aggression in this tank, I have platys, young mollies, two plecos, and this dwarf flag Cichlid. Also there was no Ammonia or Nitrite when I checked it yesterday. Yesterday I did a 30% water change and today a 60% water change. These were the water parameters using the Freshwater Test Kit before doing a 60% water change today: Ammonia: 0 ppm Nitrate: 40 or 80 ppm but looked more like 40 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm pH: 6.6 Here are two videos of my ill fish: Please help @Colu, @nabokovfan87, @Odd Duck How can I help my fish recover? Thank you in advance
  8. This gives me an ease of mind, Thank you 🙏🏼
  9. @Colu, @Odd Duck Does a fish that is very skinny and has a hollow body despite being fed-good quality food, do this symptom indicate its Fish TB? I'm worried now because I feel like this disease is in my tank. I lost a small young platy last night and he was very skinny. It was skinny and it seemed like one of its fin had a bit of fin rot but wasn’t that severe. No lesions or anything else. My other fish are fine and fat but I don't know what happened to this particular one 😔
  10. Hello everyone, I have a 7 gallon tank with only one long-fin male Betta but I wanted to add another tank mate to this tank. What fish are compatible with a betta? I prefer to just add one fish to this tank. I was thinking of adding one Chocolate or Honey Gourami but not sure if these will go well together. Please share your suggestions! Thank you in advance 🙂
  11. Thank you so much @Lennie and @AllFishNoBrakes 🙂 Wow, This is a very pretty tank! Love it! This is the look I want in my cube tank
  12. Hello fishkeepers, I will be setting up my first 7 gallon blackwater cube tank for my one betta. I wanted to know if you can use Aquarium soil or organic potting mix soil topped with a thin layer of sand in a Blackwater tank or should sand only be used? I heard something about that gasses can build up in the substrate so I want to make sure I create a safe environment and not cause any issues for my betta. Thank you in advance
  13. Thank you so much @CJs Aquatics, I'm going to read the article. Thanks again 🙂
  14. Hello everyone, I'm a beginner and I will be getting this upcoming week for the first time a betta and I wanted to use soil as my substrate to set-up a planted aquarium. What substrate do you guys recommend that is Inert and will provide good plant growth? I have soft water which is why I want an inert substrate. Thank you in advance
  15. 'm going to get a Sponge filter, Thank you guys! @SandBkeeper and @xXInkedPhoenixX
  16. Hello everyone, I will be getting a betta for the first time this upcoming week. I wanted to ask you guys, what underwater Internal filters do you guys recommend for bettas? Thank you in advance Have a great day!
  17. Thank you, I have 1 bolivian ram and 1 dwarf flag cichlid, can they tolerate salt? Do I have to treat the whole tank if its Epistylis or can I just treat the sick fish in a separate tank?
  18. Thank you! If its epistylis, how should I effectively treat this and is this contiguous to the other fish?
  19. Hello fish keepers! I was treating this tank for camallanus worms and I have already done 4 doses and haven't seen the worms anymore but was aiming to go for 6 to be sure they don't have any more but now I'm going to have to stop and treat this issue and give them a break from meds. This morning I was looking into my 30 gallon tank and I noticed one of red platy has what I think could be Ick but wanted to ask you guys to confirm if this is Ick. She is the only one that has it so far. She didn't have this yesterday. If this is Ich, how should I treat it? Will the medications for Ich kill beneficial bacteria? I have some adult and young platys, some young mollys, 1 Bolivian Ram, and 1 dwarf flag Cichlid (Laetacara curviceps). I also have 5 small Anubias plants. I was treating this tank for camallanus worms and I have already done 4 doses but was aiming to go for 6 to be sure they don't have any more of these worms but I'm going to have to stop and treat this issue and give them a break from meds. @Colu Is this Ich? Thank you in advance.
  20. This is great to know! Thank you!🙂 Thank you! I will look into these.
  21. Thank you guys for sharing! Really appreciate it! I haven't decided yet on which to pick and how big I want the tank yet but I was leading more towards a rimless tank because I like the look of it. I was thinking of getting a UNS 44 gallon or maybe smaller but I'm going to keep all these things in mind. Thanks again! @Lennie, @Pepere, @Andy's Fish Den, @JettsPapa, @Mmiller2001, @Stef, @Flumpweesel, and @Sweet Fish O Mine. This tank is awesome!! Where did you get the stand?
