Liz K
So I fed mosquito larvae to my fish once and now I have been battling mosquitoes inside my fish room and house! I know the basic anti-mosquito methods and they somehow still reproduce. - All the tanks have fish - I make sure there is no standing water in buckets or anything - I removed floating plants and added power heads for additional surface agitation - I put mosquito dunks in every tank every 2 weeks Please any suggestions? GardenStateGoldfish
Are you sure that is where the mosquitos are coming from? It is unlikely that with fish in the tank that they are making it to adulthood and then continuing to reproduce. do you see them inside your tanks? if so maybe reduce some of the plant/decoration load so the fish can find the larva easier but also check outside your house for a bucket or lid or trashcan with water, It is unlikely your fish tanks are the source of the mosquitos imo.
gardenman
If there are mosquito larvae in your tanks you should be able to see them pretty easily. They're a good sized larvae. If you can see them you can net them and get rid of them. I feed live mosquito larvae to my fish in the warmer months and my swordtails ensure none ever reach maturity.
