Jakeweight
Hello All, First post here. I got a never clod air stone a couple months ago and it has been working well. I have noticed a slow change in bubble output, which I am assuming is due to it getting dirty (very hard water where I live). So, my question, how do you clean this thing. Can the felt portion be cleaned, which is where I am assuming it is clogging. Can it be soaked in vinegar and then rinsed throughly? Do I just need to replace the felt parts?
Fish Folk
It usually comes shipped with extra felt parts. You can try just slightly loosening how tightly the cap on the bottom is turned. Otherwise, I assume there's no major problem with rinsing off under tap water. I'm not sure if vinegar would be good. If you use vinegar to soak it, I'd definitely let it bubble for a day in another container of water other than a fish tank to dispel the acid. They are wonderful! Kelz
I soak the felt discs in peroxide, rinse well then let dry completely. I have a few of these stones that I rotate. Wondering if there's a better way?
