Seized
Ive recently started breeding mystery snails and have run into a problem. I can get them to lay eggs all day long but cant get the hatchlings to stay alive for more that a few days. Anyone have any tips on how to be more successful with the hatchlings? shkote
I have a clutch that hatched a week and a half ago. I do the bare minimum for them. They are in an established tank, I put the baby snails in a breeder net with occasional small pieces of algae tablets or spinach, don't clean the glass, and let them crawl out on their own to find food if they choose. They wander around with pond and ramshorn snails and the tank has El Silverado Endlers. The tank isn't the prettiest, but they find plenty to eat. So far about 50 have crawled out. The rest are still climbing around in the breeder net. My best luck with mysteries has been in well established, dirty (but healthy) tanks.
