Moving shrimp

I bought 10 shrimp about 6 months ago wanting to start a colony. Now there are around 100 and I am ready to move some of them to my office tank 35 miles away. I've made sure the water is the same (ro with salty shrimp) . I have never "netted" shrimp before. Is there anything special to look out for or do I just scoop them up and move them like fish?

I move mine just like fish.   Often times 2 nets makes the process much simpler.

Net them and make sure there is something for them to hold onto in their transport container.

get a little net with super fine mesh. It will make your life sooo much easier.

Yup.  I have one of those.  I like it.  They also make square ones, but I like the round one better.

One other tip you could try is to hold the net still and use your other hand to have them scoot backwards into the net.

I would also recommend covering the opening of the net with your hand between containers, those little guys can jump when they are freaked out.
