OceanTruth
I've never kept a common before, but I had ranchu goldfish and they never could do any damage to anubias. The anubias were tied down to rocks so they never went anywhere also.

OceanTruth
The lowest temperture my goldfish tank got in the winters was 65 degrees F. All the anubias didn't seem bothered at all. I had a few different species of anubias back then.
