Kieflow
Hello all, does anyone have any dropsy stories they wish to share? Particularly any information on finding out what caused the dropsy in their aquarium or If they have found a treatment that works. I've had 2 bettas in my sorority get dropsy within a month of each other. I’m starting to think it might be stress induced and I am going to disband the sorority soon. Has anyone had a similar situation happen? Thanks for any information
Colu
Dropys is caused by a number of things such as polystic kidney disease organ failure internal bacterial infections the most effective treatment I have found is aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons the salt will help reduce the fluid buildup and metroplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for upto 3 weeks as that treats aeromonas that can cause some of the symptoms you see with Dropys and dose the tank with kanaplex that will treat any possible bacterial infection and it's a good antibiotic treatment kidney infection Edited June 9, 2023 by Colu
