Knew tooth is
I recently introduced one, longfin gold zebra tetra into a 10-g tank with resident two, dwarf neon blue rainbows, one guppy, and two plecos. I anticipated an active tetra, but, unexpectedly, the tetra chases the existing residents into plant cover located on one side of the tank. When the previous tank residents venture out of cover, for example, at meal-time, the tetra is on cue to intimidate. The aggression occurs despite the tetra's size a bit smaller than the rainbows. Fortunately, there are no signs of fin nipping, so it appears to be a case of "all bark and no bite". Any suggestions to prevent the bullying behavior? teenage fish
Tetras need a shoal of 6 or more to feel comfortable. Your tetra is feeling aggressive and nervous because it is the only one.
Knew tooth is
Thanks. Good info. And, oops, should be Danio, and not Tetra.
