Second pic honey gourami and water sprite plant. The third pic does look like a loach specie. The fourth pic wait for the Tetra with the rummynose to color up and repost. Tbh hard for me to make out the fish in the first pic. @Mississippi fish guy

1. Really hard to tell could be any number of catfish. Maybe albino pictus maybe baby channels. Can’t see any of the distinguishing features

2. Honey gourami pair

3. Burmese lizard loach or a black lizard loach

4. Kinda looks like fan wort but plant is young hard to tell

5. Appears to lack an adipose so it’s likely a scissortail rasbora but hard to tell from pic. Could also be a baby rummynose rasbora. Id call it rasbora unidentified

Do you know anything about keeping them? If so can they be kept in soft water with angel fish and tetras?

@Biotope Biologist, @Tlindsey

i will probably take the rasbora back since I wasn’t trying to get it and I already have a stocking plan but I will try to get a picture once it has colored up.

1st one definitely looks like albino channel catfish

That was my first thought but hard for me to say definitely. I personally don't see channel catfish for sale especially in the big box stores @D191

Tbh I don't know what type of water that species come from. @Mississippi fish guy

I kept lizard loaches for a short time but I think my gobies might have bullied them into an early grave.

They aren’t too fussy about water parameters but like hillstream loaches they like high flow and high dissolved oxygen. They eat mature algae mats and worms for the most part but will take to blanched veggies readily. They are mostly wild caught at this time but they are pretty easy to breed it seems.

The store is not a big box store but it is also not a fish store entirely.

I guess I will have to pass on them then because my tank has neither.

Thanks for the help.

Does it have an adipose fin? The rasbora/tetra? I still can’t see one in the photos but doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Tetra have adipose fins rasbora do not.

and yeah can totally see that. Although those are false asian redtail cats not to be confused with the popular South American redtail
