Whitecloud09
The title explains, I add 2 pumps easy green once a week, root tabs once a month, light on 8 hours per day. My tank is almost done cycling, my ph is 7.5. No fish yet. But this week I am going to get some corydoras, Any ideas? Thanks! Oh yeah btw it is like hair algae, brown stringy algae basically. ? @Mmiller2001?? Edited July 23 by Whitecloud09
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
If the tank is cycling, it’s most likely brown diatoms. You can siphon them out or just wait it out. Very common in new tanks. Article
Jeff
Yeah; that's diatom algae. Normal stuff; nothing to worry about.
Mmiller2001
New tank syndrome is what I call it. Normal algae cycle and it should pass.
